Get a Physical Inspection of Your New Home Purchase

Knowing the condition of what you are buying is clearly fundamental to buying a home here in the U.S. It is considered the normal course of business to have the property examined for any potential  problems that are not easily observed, or may have been inadvertently omitted from the sellers Real Property Disclosure statement.  In Mexico, this is not always the case.

We recommend that when purchasing a property in Mexico, to make your offer contingent upon the buyer's approval of a structural inspection, as most properties in Mexico are offered on an "as is" basis.  Why take the chance that the seller disclosure's may or may not be complete, when for a small expense related to the amount of money invested, you can have a professional, third party, evaluation?  This is only prudent and will help eliminate any surprises after the purchase is finalized.
